The Hope Program – Digital Literacy Programming forLow-Income Jobseekers

(As of December 2020)

Eighty-three percent of students have demonstrated improvement in their digital skills.

These students have averaged 13% improvement between their pre- and post-assessments.

Achieved 154 job placements among the cohort, as well as 198 placements irrespective of cohort since March 15, 2020.

Guided jobseekers through quantifiable improvement in digital literacy as measured by their pre- and post-assessment.  The students have consistently shown great improvement in their digital skills as a result of the training.

Supported jobseekers in developing digital portfolios for job search with HOPE and into the future. The digital portfolio project remains a cornerstone of the Digital Literacy program.

Embedded best practices specifically as they relate to green construction and maintenance fields as informed by sector employers into their digital literacy curriculum. They have integrated the Digital literacy and Green Construction curricula for the Sustainable South Bronx program, providing green jobs participants with skills like word processing.
